Southend airport. The company was renamed Emerald in 1992, in recognition of the large amount of business across the
Irish Sea and established its base in Liverpool. In October

Exeter based
Streamline Aviation. The airline is wholly owned by AS Janes and HJ Janes.
In June 2005,
EuroManx successfully bought the passenger service of Emerald Airways, another low cost carrier operating services from
Liverpool John Lennon Airport. These services are now operated under the EuroManx name and booking system, but often the cabin crew employed and the planes used are those of Emerald Airways.
The airline has now been cancelled due to its safety license. The Isle of Man government now own one of the BAe ATP.
AOC Suspension
On the
4th May 2006 at 20:00 the airline's Air Operators Certificate was suspended by the CAA for reasons that were unspecified, the carrier will no longer continue to operate services however the CAA specified that should its requirements (as aforementioned they were not specified) are met the airline's AOC will be reinstated. On the
11 May 2006 Administrators were appointed as a result of the fleet grounding the firm has been unable to generate any money to run the business. News about AOC being retired from Emerald Airways Rumour has it their HS.748 has been sold to BAC Express and possibly some of their Shorts aircraft too.
